I know, a lot of people have a worse life than me. Im not living on the streets, im not fighting an addiction, or an illness for that matter. Ive got a very comfortable lifestyle; im studying, my parents give me child support money, and i dont generlly go without..
BUT IM SO MISERABLE!!
Im not allowed a life. Im 18.. but If i make plans, my controlfreak family cancel them and mess them up. I never go out, I never see anyone. And so this means basically, i have no friends. I have friends at college, so i see people and have a laugh, but the weekends and days off. I spend trailing around supermarket after supermarket with my stepmom.
Do you know how lonely that gets? Not having a life. Sitting in your house in the middle of no where all day everyday, and going to Walmart if your lucky..
I hate my life.
The housework gets left to me, while my brother, who is the same age as me, gets to sit on his arse playing computer games and sleeping until late in the afternoon. His mom (my stepmom) gives him lifts everywhere and encourages him to go out and stuff. Then cancels my plans so i can join her on her many exoctic trips to walmart.
I cry on a daily basis. Im so depressed.

when parental control get that intense, then u got 2 decisions to make bro, u either go with the easy or the hard way. Easy is you really try to talk to ur parents about this, show them how their ruining ur life and turning u into a loner, negotiate with them. But if that fails.. u can go the hard way, means u rebel like a motherfuck and dont give a shit about ur parents, ur mum wants u to go to walmart, u say fuck that and do whatever u pleae. Your parents tell you that you cant go out, well break out of the fucking house if u have to, jump out of a window or something. Dont let ur parents make u live a life u dont want, ur 18 for fucks sake. Im 16 and I do what I want, whether my parents let me or not, I always go out and drink and have fun with friends, honestly man, u gotta break out of that cage :D

Hi there, I am sorry to here about your situation. I sounds bad. But must must be strong and must stand on your own 2 feet. To find freedom and happiness sometime you have to do it alone. I grow up in a very poor family. My parents had nothing to offer me and my sisters except freedom. I went to school with no money and racked up lot debts. Let me tell you those were the roughest part of coming into adulthood. When i was poor w/ extra money, I did make many friends. Now, I am educated, married a doctor with 2 children and financially well. I am not afraid to go out on my own and do what I want. Those tough years of struggles by myself lead me to believe that I can do just about anything.
So honey, don't be afraid to give up those money and find your own way. It will be worth it in the long run. If you continue to get financial supports from your stepmom, she will continue to control your life. It doesn't sound like she's putting your futures or happiness as much of a priority.
So believe, your best bet is to leave home and stay in college. The key to success is to stand tough and not give up.
