Stupid lazy people get good jobs, and smart hard-working people starve. It seems like being stupid or lazy actually makes it easier to get a good job.
Smart people get screwed unless they are also really lucky in other ways. Being smart is more of a detriment than being stupid is for getting a job and for succeeding in life, unless you are smart and an asshole, in which case it might work out for you. But smart and nice?
