I am 50 years old and do not have a single friend or person I can talk to. When I was young I was always an outsider even though I was very smart and athletic. I always hung out with the rejects at school but afterwards I would go home and watch TV for hours or go to the movies alone. I somehow hit the jackpot and got married and was happy but my wife just said I dont love you one day and left. I have not been with anyone for over 10 years. I had a job for 25 years which I hated. I was respected by my peers and subordinates but turned down several promotions because I always felt like a loser. I finally resigned and moved to another state where I do not know a single soul.I watch movies every day go to bars drink alone and do not talk to anyone.I bought a Harley and ride at over 100mph. I know things will not end well for me.

Hey, life sucks sometimes but keeping a positive attituede is not impossible and it is the only thing that helps. What movies are you watching?

Dude, this sounds exactly like the intro of "Women", by no one else than Charles Bukowski.

If you don't know the guy, you're missing something. He's a genius.

The TV series "Californication" was inspired a lot from him. Watch it, it's great. (I hate TV, but I liked that show very much, some old school Rock, Warren Zevon, The Stones, that kind of stuff)...

Look Bukowski up, read his books, watch his videos.. The guy got laid a lot it seems, although being of way below average looks.

Never watched show cause it was about a guy who got laid all the time and I haven't in about ten years. My ex did a number on me to the point that I just blow women off. I will check out his books though. thanks

I think turning down those promotions was a silly thing to do. How can you claim to feel like a loser when it was ENTIRELY clear that those offering you SEVERAL promotions thought you were worth it and not a loser? You said you were respected. So how can you be a loser? Do you even know what a loser is?

Dude, you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. I feel like half this mess is your fault becuase you got out into the world and you don't bother assocaiting with anyone. You just admitted that you go to bars and you talk to no one. So how do youe expect to meet people and create relationships? You are 50 years old, you got a good 30 to 40 years left if you're lucky. Make the most of it and stop walking with your head down. You are wasting time and energy but you have a lot of offer.

This man sounds like he is going through depression telling him to stop feeling sorry for himself doesn't work as I have been through it.

I'm going through the same but I just lost my job so I get no family support and I don't have friends to lean on either.

Look at a story from a guy several pages forward. He fell from a motorcycle and is now a T4 paralysed guy. Sell your bike like i will my Aprillia rs125 next week. Its good when you fall and die, but 70% is u will survive and be in wheelchair.
