Alright, reading all these stories makes me realize that i shouldn't be complaining, but it helps just to get it out there. Well...i am a sophmore in college, and basically life can be tough. For starters, i am going in to debt hard core. Way more than i wanted too. I tried to apply for scholarships, but my family is right at middle class. Enough to make it, but not nearly enough to help pay for college. Hello student loans. Now, after this year, i dont even know if i will be able to get another one, which then what? Drop out?? Who knows. Then i can just go back and get some crappy middle type job and try to pay off the 20 or so thousand of debt i have already built up.
I am also on probation, for countless mips (one possession charge), like 5 altogether. Which suspended my license. This isn't a huge problem,but yesterday, some dumb bitch backed up at a stoplight (??) and fucked my shit up. I am just waiting to get pulled over because of it. Which will be another violation of probation. That would pretty much give me jail time....ruin college, etc. Me and my girl have an apt. together, and, we love each other (i guess...)but shit has been getting stressful, like she wants to take a break, which is fine.... i just really need someone there for me. I just want a hug. Well thats why my life sucks.... i know, not that bad, just money and legal troubles mostly, and i guess my gf issues too. Life just gets depressing sometimes.... I'm a college student too. I got laid off half a year ago and i have been in and out of depression because of it. I can't enjoy things like i use to anymore, i have doctor bills piling up on me, my parents ALWAYS need extra money for being negative in the bank and need to buy gas. Its like i can never leave my student loan money alone for the sole purpose of college, i mean i have to PAY the government back its money. its not mines! but yet, it keeps getting yanked out of my account becuase someone needs it for something else. and its driving me crazy. I owe myself close to $2000 in student loan.
To make matters worse, my school is doing a big budget cut. that means there will be less professors and tuition is going to go up AGAIN. the teachers can't even print copies of work because they are trying to hold back on paper and supplies. it's really depressing around here. College is already expensive enough.
I just wish this whole recession thing would just hurry the hell up and end already! why is this is SO hard to fix? people are losing jobs, money is very tight and lots of people are on the streets.
Just understand that you are not alone, there are many college students who are under pressure all the time. I wish i could go back in time and save all my money i worked for, for college, that way i would have been in better shape then i am in now. Yea tax time is coming, but it's not enough.
