I was married for 20years and have 2 children. I finally, after he tried killing me, I managed to get out and stay out I made it. No it was not easy, BUT I DID IT!! so my life does not suck anymore after 2 LONG YEARS! I did it so can you, get help the Women's Center SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep trying it will get better, listen to music, real music poetry. It helps don't give up that is the worst thing love yourself first then concentrate on everyone else. Trust me it works. Wishing everybody out there the best and remember you are a shining star!!

well, when one has to repetitively check their doors and baricade themselves, it doesn't go away. they also ruin lives because no one will have them if they can't. yeah, it may be over, but it always is a haunting. the cycle repeats itself untill it is broken. good for you for healing. The fear is instilled permanently and causes paranoia. i'm glad you healed. it's society that needs to teach children in their young age and pay attention to the signs in school of abused children. most likely, an abused child will either abuse or be abused. the system ignores the signs and thusfourth, the cycle repeats itself. good for you for healing. honestly, life sucks and is full of abuseers and dissappointments.
