i am an iraq veteran who lost both of my legs in 2004 in a roadside bomb by those fucking taliban assholes. can't work anymore, not getting very much disability to get by. my wife left me and i really miss her but i understand. my family is always busy and don't come over to visit much. what is next for me? is this my reward for serving my country? *sigh* | |

allahu akbar..
enjoy your shitty rest of the life .. or just end it right now
you have been unimaginably strong, and wish you the same strength in future too.. be a hero like you are..
If life closes some oppertunities for you, it also gives you new ones, find these new oppertunities and start a new life.
Love and regard,
Your well wisher
Sgt. Walden USMC Operation Iraqi Freedom 1st wave 26 MEU 2nd LAAD Battalion.
you are amazing
you can do something
The terrorists hate us due to their religion. For every one of them dead over there, there's one less one who's going to come over here and kill us.
It is truly ashame that mankind has it in him to go to war. As to why all people's can't get together and talk things out, it's beyond me. War is hell and it's hell for both sides.
Our soldiers are model citizens as well. Talk to any of them - they will tell you that they do not enjoy killing anyone. In fact, it's not unheard of for them to bring "enemy" wounded back to our field hospitals for treatment.
Think those towel-headed bastards do the same for our boys?
But as long as there's people pickin' on us and wanting to kill us for our way of life (esp. if they're the ones who "throw the first punch,"), then I'm all for the American team.
Please know that I, among millions, are proud of you and are praying for you. Small words they are, but millions feel the same way that I do.
Can you get over to a local career center? There's also a magazine called GI jobs which may be of a little bit of assistance.
At any rate, I pray for you and, again, thank you for your service and your sacrifice. People like you make me proud of my country.
When ppl obsessed with playing computer games asked a question what body part they would rather loose, they always say the legs.
This is just a suggestion but, since you have no work and no one is visiting you, you have allot of time on your hands. You have also been places and seen stuff, and have been married.
This is perfect set up for gaming. Buy a pc buy a game like SC2 or CoD, or whatever, you can meet ppl online and socialize. who knows with all the time you got your hands, you might unlock a real potential in yourself, and become a pro gamer. Might sound corny, but for a guy like you its a grate activity.
Also not having legs you can prolly do more pull ups heh. Just look at what you have available to you and try use those things.
Try to budget your finances as best you can...Perhaps you can a way to make some extra cash on the side, even with no legs. Try to get financially creative. Life isn't over because you lost your legs, it actually might allow you to explore different parts of who you are...I know it's easier said than done, but I speak the truth. Try to strengthen relationships with others and help others with your story...I'm 100% positive you can help others by sharing your painful experience.
God bless. If you need to chat about anything my e-mail is neilius1980@gmail.com
