Sometimes they dont apreciate you for who you are im a child myself you have to beilive in yourself and help them make a change for the better

Male lions will kill a female's offspring if it is not theirs. This way, once he knocks the female up again, she will have time to raise his offsprings rather than the other male.

Human males behave similarly. Step father's are notorious for molesting their step children. I wonder if its because of the same reason.

I think there may also be a hormonal change that takes place that allows a parent to bond to his biological child. The hormonal change may not take place between a stepfather and stepchild, thus there may not be the same unconditional love. As a result, the stepfather is more likely to see the child as a sex object as use him/her as such, but don't take my word for it.
