having shitty parents really can fuck shit up

My mother recently sued for sole custody and child support of me. My father didn't care enough to fight so she won even though she is an abusive drug addict that gave me up as a kid. I'm 19 and I haven't spoken to her in even four years, but now she'll get money to feed her addictions. I had to drop out of a really good school because inorder to get financial aid I needed to show my parents' tax forms, which they wouldn't have given me even if the did file. When I was 18 I had a girlfriend start a fight because she thought I wasn't family orientied enough. It's stupid to be jelous, but I am so tired of not being able to relate to kids my own age who's parents are buying them cars and sending them away to colleges all over the world. I spend most of my time working two jobs and applying for tons of scholarships just to pay my community college student loans.
