Sometimes I wonder what I am doing here? What is my purpose? I am a 50 year old guy. I have been a self employed Contractor for 30 years and have been struggling my whole life to get by. It always seems like there is a bill waiting for me every time I turn around. I can never get ahead. Of course I live in California. Besides the great weather it is the worse place to live on the planet if you are self employed. The work is slow and the Mexican can do the same thing for half the price.
I have two daughters that could give a shit about me. One is gay and lives in San Fransico and the other lives with three guys and is a ex-stipper. They only call when they need money or a truck. They would steal from me in a heart beat. One of them stole my wife's gold jewelry and my Grandmothers wedding ring. I'm sure they got the weight of gold for them.
My House is under water by $100,000 and Bank of America sold my mortgage to Greentree mortgage Co. and they suck. No loan mod. and not part of the Government program to help.

It's okay. Maybe if you talked to your daughters and asked them about their feelings, maybe they'll open up. And your bills. Maybe you could sell some things yourself.

if your daughters were drivin to being strippers, chances are there was something wrong with there upbringing, maybe its about time you stopped blaming everyone else for all of your problems.

I'm sorry for the tough spot that you are in..but please realize it could be a lot worse. I think it will help you if you appreciate what you do have. A job, a place to live, children that are still alive. You shouldn't let your kids "use" you obviously, tempting as it may be b/c you don't have the spare change, and they do need to learn how to fend for themselves eventually. but really, all in all, you sound like your life is not all that bad...mine is much wore..i'd give a million dollars and my retirement to have my only child to be alive and well again.

Life is good for the finding of spiritual improvment, and nothing else. Simply because there is always more suffering than there are happiness. Scientificly speaking, humanity is simply not good for the ecosystem. Beat it. May be you can meet your daughter friend and be her sugar daddy, just to make her jealous hahaha. Or you can work hard like an mexican and live in a trailer, why? Your family will disown you for good or visit you with care.
